Keep Your Health, Keep Your Gambling Wealth

You are a punter. You keep unholy hours, sometimes lasting till the wee hours of the morning. You subsist on fast food simply because these give you more time at the gaming tables and slot machines. You exercise by walking from one gaming table to the next and from video poker machines to slot machines. You engage in recreational activities within the gaming establishment itself, mostly casino shows and shopping. In short, your whole life revolves around gambling (read: you are a pathological gambler).

However, life is a multi-faceted jewel of things and activities to be enjoyed. Get a life outside of gambling establishments yet still continue to enjoy gambling as a purely recreational activity and live longer. Here is how.

First, get eight hours of sleep every day. The emphasis is on a daily quota rather than on a nightly quota. You can be a vampire - sleep in the mornings and gamble at night. You can be a normal person - sleep at night and gamble in the mornings. Either way, online and brick-and-mortar casinos will accommodate your gambling needs. You can make better decisions when you have a clear head and a refreshed body.

Second, eat healthy foods at regular intervals. Fast food is convenient but is not known for its nutritive qualities. You will need proper sustenance to sustain you through the long hours of gambling games; fast food, chips, and soda just do not cut it.

Stick to healthy foods that will give you energy like carbohydrates and protein. Just remember not to overeat as you do not want the inconvenience of checking in to the rest rooms at irregular intervals.

Third, exercise, exercise, exercise. Countless hours of sitting on a poker table gambling away all your free poker bets and a sizable chunk of your bankroll is not an excuse not to move your ass and shake your booty! Have you never heard of chess athletes engaging in physical cross-training to build mental stamina for long bouts of chess games? Well, it is time that you follow their example! Besides, why should you just place your sports bet when you can engage in the sports itself? Double the fun!

Fourth, engage in a leisure activity completely detached from gambling. Nurture your mind and spirit on the beach; engage in activities all your family will enjoy; leave gambling for a while. Stop obsessing about the free casino bets you would have acquired if only you never went on your vacation. There are so many “if onlys” in life without you adding to the chaotic mix.

Fifth and most important, shun drugs and alcohol. These will be the death of you, literally and figuratively. These three addicting things in life just do not favorably mix.

Just try to maintain a healthy lifestyle alongside gambling and you might just find the nirvana of gamblers.
